THE Philippine Constitution Association, its president Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez and chairman Manuel M. Lazaro, announced that Speaker Pantaleon D. Alvarez will be the guest of honor and speaker at Philconsa’s monthly membership meeting on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Manila Golf & Country Club in Makati City.
Alvarez is expected to discuss the paramount need and importance to revisit the Constitution to make it conform with and push his legislative priority, the realization of the President’s advocacy and the centerpiece of his administration which is federalism.
The singing of the national anthem will be led by Associate Dean Rita Linda V. Jimeno, vice president for constitutional reforms. The invocation will be delivered by Former Senator Francisco S. Tatad. The Philconsa Creed will be led by Dr. Margarita R. Cojuangco, VP for Academic Affairs.
The welcome remarks will be delivered by chairman Lazaro. The new members will be presented by Retired Justice Oswaldo D. Agcaoili, VP for Constitutional Reforms, to be inducted by Retired Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno, president emeritus.
Alvarez will be introduced by Romualdez. Immediately after Alvarez’s speech, an open forum will be held. BizNews publisher and editor-in-chief Antonio S. Lopez, Philconsa governor, will act as moderator and master of ceremonies.
