The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee has resumed its investigation into the smuggling of P 6.4-billion worth of shabu from China last May.

Committee Chairman Richard Gordon is grilling Chen Ju Long, alias Richard Chen/Tan, who had allegedly imported the shipment.

On Tuesday morning, Gordon's questions were focused on the chronology of events on May 25, 2017.

This was on the night that Chen received a phone call supposedly from a Customs official from Xiamen, China.

The caller had asked him if the shipment had arrived.

Chen was also supposedly instructed by the Chinese official to hold the shipment until the Customs bureau in the Philippines is able to inspect it.

The 604 kilos of shabu arrived on May 17, 2017 and was released by BOC through the green lane on May 23, 2017.
