The National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS) Rizal Chapter in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and Globe MyBusiness recently held the second Rizal Tourism Summit at the Timberland Sports and Nature Club in San Mateo, Rizal.
With the theme “Higante sa Turismo, Higante sa Asenso,” over 150 stakeholders from Rizal and the Calabarzon region participated in the two-day event to promote the local tourism industry.
The Summit conducted business-to-business meetings and toured the cultural and tourist attractions in the province- – the Rodriguez Ancestral House in Rodriguez (Montalban) town, the Diocesan Shrine of the Our Lady of Aranzazu in San Mateo, the RTW garments industry of Taytay – and took part in the launch of this year’s Higantes Festival in Angono.
The highlight of the event is the signing of the pledge of commitment by government and business players in upholding sustainable practices in the tourism industry.
