Hedcor Bukidnon Inc., a unit of Aboitiz Power Corp., is on the final phase of commissioning its 69-megawatt Manolo Fortich hydropower facilities in Bukidnon.
Eight electric cooperatives in Mindanao have signed up supply contracts covering about 45 megawatts from the Manolo Fortich Hydro project beginning 2018.
They include South Cotabato II Electric Cooperative, Zamboanga del Sur Electric Cooperatives 1 and 2, Zamboanga del Norte Electric Cooperative, Misamis Occidental I Electric Cooperative, Siargao Electric Cooperative, Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative and Surigao del Sur 1 Electric Cooperative Inc.
“With our partnerships, we are excited to deliver reliable and ample power supply to every town in need in Mindanao while ensuring none-to-very-little potential adverse effects to our environment,” Hedcor vice president for operations and maintenance Rolando Pacquiao said in a statement.
