Ex-Palawan Governor Joel Reyes shows up at the Sandiganbayan this afternoon.
This comes, after the anti-graft court ordered his arrest.
The court affirmed its decision finding the former Palawan governor guilty of gross negligence.
He had reportedly allowed a small-scale mining company to renew its license in 2006 even if the firm had exceeded its ore extension limit.
The penalty for the offense is 6 to 8 years of imprisonment.
Reyes was released from prison earlier this month after he was cleared of a murder case in connection with the slay of broadcaster Gerry Ortega in 2011.
