The city government of Makati has started giving cash awards to some 1,799 honor graduates of the city’s public elementary and high schools for the school year 2017-2018.

The cash incentives ranging from P6,000 to P10,000 will go to the recipients during the Gawad Parangal rites from May 30 to 31 at the University of Makati (UMak) Covered Court, 12th floor, Health and Physical Science Building.

“Through Gawad Parangal, we aim to reward the hard work and exemplary achievements of our public-school students.
