The newly installed modern aerobridges are now operational at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Terminal 1.

Manila International Airport Authority general manager Eddie Monreal said three new modern aerobridges are now installed in Naia, with China Airlines and Gulf Air being the first to use the new Passenger Boarding Bridges.

He added that these new bridges are made of glass walls, fully air-conditioned, and equipped with CCTV (closed-circuit television) cameras.

The MIAA plans to install six more bridges before the end of the year as part of its Phase 1 project of nine new modern aerobridges.

Monreal said his agency has embarked on a project to replace the decades-old passenger boarding bridges with new ones.
