Japanese-Korean Garden in Baguio Gallery NATURE TOURISM —- Urban gardening earned another institutional support from a tourism establishment with rich historical roots with Baguio. This was how Mayor Benjie Magalong described the Japanese-Korean garden that the Baguio Country Club has set up in its sprawling landscape in ribbon-cutting ceremonies attended by city officials and tourism stakeholders. “I speak with pride in commending the Baguio Country for this latest attraction and amenity in this historical place. Truly, nature tourism should be pursued in positioning Baguio as a foremost tourism destination, even more so as the city braces up into the New Normal,” he told the Baguio Country Club officials and employees led by General Manager Anthony de Leon. With the Mayor is the city First Lady Arlene, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan Jr. and Councilor Elaine Sembrano, SP tourism, parks and special events committee chairperson. In his remarks, the Mayor thanked BCC for being in the forefront of proud establishments actively responding to the pandemic challenges.
