Zamboanga —The CPG Bohol Dolphins continued to make a big splash in the GlobalPort-VisMin Super Cup after they outlasted a tough OCCCI Ormoc Sheer Masters squad, 94-91, at the Zamboanga City Coliseum here.
Lester Reyes was a solid presence on both ends of the court while Nikko Panganiban presided on the team’s offense for the Dolphins, the only undefeated team in the tournament with a 5-0 win-loss record and two wins away from completing a sweep of the first round of the eliminations.
Barely 24 hours after defeating Macfi-Basilan in the tournament’s first overtime game, the Zamboanga Valientes added Lawaan KalosPh to their growing list of victims, edging their rivals, 77-71, behind another sizzling performance from Reed Juntilla and import Prince Eze.
Basilan trounced Sultan Naga Dimaporo, 87-79, while Tubigon picked up its first win in the tournament courtesy of its 96-88 triumph over winless McDavid-ZamPen.
