JCI Philippines sends lone delegate to annual meet in Japan

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Academy Philippines recently conducted a send-off ceremony to the sole delegate of the Philippines to the 2023 JCI Academy in Shizouka, Japan at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The lone delegate, Atty. Mark Peter Manalo Quilaneta is a member of JCI Davao and was the Local Organization President in 2018 after joining the movement in 2008.

SOLE DELEGATE TO JAPAN. Atty. Mark Peter Manalo Quilaneta, a member of JCI Davao, is the sole delegate of the Philippines to the 2023 JCI Academy in Shizuoka, Japan, holds the Philippine flag at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

He also served as the 2021 Area Vice President (AVP) for Area V (Mindanao) and was awarded the Most Outstanding Area Vice President in the same year. He also served as the National Secretary General (NSG) in 2022, and the incumbent National Executive Vice President (NEVP).

JCI Philippines said the sending of a delegate is another milestone to continuously open its borders internationally, to foster remarkable linkages and networks that the country can utilize to do better in serving the communities.

The Junior Chamber International Academy is an annual event that attracts more than 180 delegates from different countries, cultures, religions, and ethnic groups.

The JCI aims to empower future leaders. JCI Academy delegates will be immersed in the culture of the Japanese host city and learn from a series of training, seminars, homestay, and workshops on how to be inspiring global leaders for a changing world.

This year’s academy theme is “Raise Your Flag,” depicting the resiliency of every JCI member.
