In collaboration with National Bookstore, Shangri-La Plaza, and presented by Maxicare, the launch brought together entrepreneurs and book lovers for Aguilar’s celebration, which included book readings and book signings.

“It’s about finding your greatness… a journey of the mind, body, and soul,” Aguilar explained about the book.

“I think this book is an evolution of myself as an entrepreneur, as a family man, and as a human being.”

Aguilar talks about his latest book and upcoming docuseries.

“We each all aspire for our own greatness whatever form that we take. I think greatness is relative to everyone and we shouldn’t aspire to be great the way that someone is great,” said Aguilar.

“I think we each have our own calling; we were all put in this world for a reason and until we find that reason, I think the steps or measures that we take towards finding that greatness allows us to live full lives.”

Aguilar emphasized the common hardships, insecurities, and setbacks entrepreneurs, athletes, and celebrities have used to improve their lives. He described the book and docuseries as a realistic “blueprint” for anyone confronting challenges in all areas of life.

“In delving into this book and the upcoming docuseries, we are given a moment to ponder the ‘what-ifs’ within our lives. It teaches us to cherish our achievements and setbacks alike, understanding that each step, whether a success or stumble, shapes our own unique paths to greatness,” he said.

Toby Claudio of Toby’s Sports and RUNNR, Coach Chot Reyes of Gilas Pilipinas, Jose Magsaysay Jr. of Potato Corner, Olympian pole vault champion EJ Obiena, Nameeta Mahtani Dargani of The Art of Living Philippines, Dennis Anthony Uy of Converge ICT, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach were just a few of the prominent entrepreneurs and icons interviewed in the book. He had interviewed them during the pandemic via virtual meeting platforms.

“We share the same purpose and mission.” said Maxicare Chief Marketing Officer Archie Rillo on partnering with Aguilar for his book and docuseries.

“Maxicare will help you be healthy so that you can achieve greatness; for you to pursue or apply these methods to greatness, we will be your partner and enabler in being healthy enough so that you can achieve your dreams, goals, and purpose in life,” he added.

In an interview with selected press, the author shared he was inspired by people who faced obstacles before becoming the successful people they are now. He wanted the book to become an inspiration to other people in finding their own greatness.

“I wanted it to be a book that when people look at it, it’s a representation of the kind of greatness that we have in Asia,” he said. “I wanted to be able to come up with a book that had very Asian stories and something that we could all relate to as Filipinos and as Asians.”

‘Methods to Greatness’ provided a unique look at the principles, routines, and techniques that have enabled these people to succeed in their personal and professional lives. Readers learn how they changed their lives, made a difference in their communities, or established themselves in their careers through interview excerpts and Aguilar’s personal reflections—all while overcoming life’s challenges.

The docuseries is set to air on CNN Philippines soon.
