The Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) remains committed to providing Filipinos with reliable public transportation, says Leo Rey Yanson (center), chairman of YGBC affiliate Vallacar Transit Inc. Yanson made the statement during VTI’s recent stockholders meeting in Bacolod City on Dec. 2, 2023. The Yanson family matriarch Olivia Yanson (fourth from left), presided over the meeting in her dual roles as co-founder and court-appointed special administrator of the estate of her late husband Ricardo Yanson Sr. The meeting saw the re-election of Olivia, Leo Rey, Ginnette Yanson Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Anita Chua, Arvin John Villaruel and Daniel Nicolas Golez to the board of directors. The board then re-appointed Leo Rey as VTI chairman and president and Olivia as corporate secretary and treasurer.
