Korean firm invests P3.9B to start Bataan factory

Korean company Genesis BBQ Group is set to establish operations in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) starting with a P3.9 billion investment.

The company is engaged in food chain business, commercial enterprises, hotel operations, and other tourism-related ventures.

Delegates of the company represented by its chairman and CEO Hong-Geun Yoon and other corporate representatives Allen Yoon, Dan Kim, Kim Sungwoo, Keunhee Lee, Minsoo Lee, and Mikyung Jang recently held 3-day visit to  FAB  and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

The Bureau of Customs Port of Limay exceeded its March collection target with an actual collection of P13 billion against  collection target of

P11.75 billion registering  a surplus of P1.78 billion.

Port of Limay’s revenue collection reached over P13 billion for the first time in the port’s history setting another record-breaking feat, surpassing the P11 billion collection target that was set four days prior to the end of the month.

District Collector  William B. Balayo commended his staff for their effort and strong commitment in exceeding the collection target.

He also acknowledged the role of partner agencies and stakeholders in putting their faith in the Port for the implementation of trade facilitation and border security.
