Singer-actor JK Labajo recently gave an update about his current relationship status during a performance at an event.
Despite the pouring rain, JK heated things up at Monza’s F1 Watch Party with his electrifying performances when he changed some of the lyrics of his 2018 hit song “Buwan”.
“Ako’y ‘di na nag-iisa, buti na lang tinabihan na,” JK sang during the performance.
The song’s original lyric was supposed to be sung as “Ako ngayo’y nag-iisa. Sana ay tabihan na”, which was rumored to be written for his former girlfriend, Asia’s Next Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz.
Apart from “Buwan”, JK also treated the audience with performances of “Ere”, on which he asked them to sing with him.
“Ang hirap ‘yung ikaw laging nagbibigay [tapos] wala kang matatanggap. Alam mo ‘yun? Sabi nga ila, ‘this is a two-way street, guys’,” said JK.
On February 14, JK introduced to his followers his current girlfriend when he posted a sweet photo of him and singer-songwriter Dia Mate, with a heart emoji as its caption.
“Happy Valentine’s Day love,” replied Dia.
Last month, the “High Street” star also asked his fans to support Dia when the latter joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 as the representative of the Cavite province.
Aside from JK, rising singer Sean Archer and OPM icon Rico Blanco graced Monza’s Monaco Grand Prix watch party.
