Globe recently extended its Senior Digizen campaign to San Pedro, Laguna, the first time the initiative ventured outside Metro Manila.

The campaign aims to equip elderly Filipinos with essential digital skills to navigate the increasingly digitalized world.

Participants expressed gratitude for the learning session, highlighting its importance in enhancing their digital literacy and protecting them from online risks.

The learning session covered topics such as Smartphone 101, Cybersecurity, and using life-enabling apps like GCash and KonsultaMD. These sessions empowered seniors with practical knowledge to navigate the digital landscape safely.

The #SeniorDigizen campaign is part of Globe’s broader efforts towards digital inclusion, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digitalization journey. It aims to empower seniors to unlock the benefits of technology and improve their quality of life.

Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, reiterated the company’s commitment to digital literacy and creating an inclusive digital future for all Filipinos.

“We are committed to ensuring that no one is left behind in our digitalization journey,” said Crisanto. “By equipping our seniors with essential digital skills, we empower them to unlock the vast opportunities and conveniences that technology offers, ultimately improving their quality of life.”

Globe’s initiatives extend beyond the #SeniorDigizen campaign, with various programs dedicated to promoting digital inclusion across diverse segments of society.
