A gold medal at the most or a podium finish at the least is in store for Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo.

Gymnastics Association of the Philippines president Cynthia Carrion said this is what’s waiting for the 24-year-old Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

To get a medal, Yulo will need to focus on his preparations in the floor exercises.

“Carlos can possibly win a gold. He is an all-arounder. If he sticks (make a perfect landing) it in the floor, he can win,” said Carrion.

Yulo has promised to give it his best, when he seeks a podium finish in the Olympiad.

And he is polishing his moves and will be more prepared this time around.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Yulo came up empty handed in his fave event, the floor exercises, and was fourth in the vault.

Yulo is set to leave for the Metz’ Training Camp on June 29 and was not part of the first batch of delegates that left for France last Saturday.

His continuous preparations saw him competing at the 2024 Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, where he finished with four gold medals last month, ruling the vault and the parallel bars on the final day at the Gymnastics Sport Palace in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
