President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday led the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and electronic titles (e-titles) to 1,217 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Coron, Palawan.

The 1,234 e-titles distributed cover 2,921.96 hectares under Project SPLIT, a land parcelization initiative that aims to give farmers ownership of agricultural lands.

“We are doing this initiative for your welfare and future,” Mr. Marcos said in Filipino.

In addition to the Coron beneficiaries, 53 CLOAs covering 4.8 hectares were distributed to Narra, Palawan farmers as part of the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR) regular program.

The President also inaugurated farm-to-market roads (FMRs) to improve transport and boost economic activities. Key projects include the San Nicolas to So. Caniogan, So. Nalbot to Arado, and Busuang to Caruray roads, benefiting over 1,000 ARBs.

“The new roads will help you get closer to customers and improve your livelihood,” Marcos said.

“We understand the struggles of our farmers, especially those planting in remote areas. The long journey not only eats up their time but can also lead to extra expenses,” he added.
