Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office General Manager Royina Garma was recently invited as the guest speaker during the oath-taking ceremony and pinning of ranks of the newly promoted non-commissioned officer ranks of the Bureau of Fire Protection at the BFP National Capital Region Office in Quezon City.
Represented by Ms. Emilyn Ubales, Garma expressed her gratitude to the firemen and congratulated all the newly promoted non-commissioned officers of the BFP.
In her message, Garma mentioned that PCSO and BFP shared the same mandate, which is to lend a hand to save lives.
She happily announced that PCSO is on track for its projected revenue of P52 billion to provide more funds for free hospitalization of patients, especially the indigent who need financial assistance.
PCSO’s income also funds the Universal Health Care Act, the flagship health program of President Rodrigo Duterte. Garma said the administration will get maximum fund support from PCSO, which will open more branches to serve Filipinos, especially the marginalized sector.
Garma, she encouraged everyone to keep on patronizing PCSO games and programs to raise more funds for the needy.
“Work hard with dedication and integrity, because you are accountable to the people, and serve them with utmost responsibility, loyalty, and patriotism,” Garma added.
