Beauty queens among most influential personalities of 2020“Arielle Agasang Ako ay Filipino: A Filipino Fashion Charity Gala and Tribute to the Most Influential Personalities of the Year 2020’-2021,” a benefit fashion show and media conference was held at 500 Shaw Zentrum Pavilion on Thursday, streamed live, and hosted by actor Lance Raymundo and beauty Jearu Ed Magbuhat.

The Fashion Charity Gala, presented by Agasang A1 Entertainment Productions, headed by world-class fashion designer Arielle Agasang, was organized as a way of recognizing and honoring exceptional Filipinos who have raised the bar in their respective fields, for their outstanding contributions in aiding the country, especially, during the onslaught of COVID-19, and for inspiring other people thru their hard work, success, popularity, and patriotism.

The inaugural fashion event, originally set in June last year but was postponed due to the pandemic, was for the benefit of the reconstruction of the Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Lavezares, Northern Samar.

“I want to thank everyone for coming to the show, the pride of the country, our generous philanthropists, as well as the members of the media. I’m happy, that after a long wait, the Arielle Agasang gala show which was supposed to be held last year, finally, will be held on April 24 at the Manila Hotel,” Agasang said during the show.

The “Ako ay Filipino” Most Influential Personalities of 2020-2021 awardees, coming from the different sectors, in politics, business, sports, arts, entertainment, and diplomatic community, were chosen by a special selection committee. They included, among others, Senators  Bong Go, Cynthia Villar, Manny Pacquiao, Panfilo Lacson, Imee Marcos and  Grace Poe; Representative  Lucy-Torres-Gomez, Mayors  Joy Belmonte, Vico Sotto, Isko Moreno, Edwin Olivarez, Richard Gomez, Edito Saludaga, and Benjamin Magalong; actors Lorna Tolentino, Angel Locsin, and Alden Richards; and international beauty queens, Gloria Diaz, Megan Young, and Gemma Cruz.

Before the awards presentation, the Arielle Agasang original high fashion collection was showcased, a virtual preview of the Arielle Agasang Grand Fashion Show to be held on April 24, 2021 at the Centennial Ballroom Manila Hotel.

At the end of the charity fashion event, selected members of the press were also given awards recognition, namely, Entertainment columnist  Aster Amoyo,  Manila Bulletin’s  Robert Requintana,  Daily Tribune’s  Gilbert Kim Sancha,  OPMB Worldwide’s  Noli Berioso,  Philippine Star’s  Celso Caparas,  Malaya’s  Jay Patao, and  Manila Standard’s  Eton Concepcion.
