Dinalupihan, Bataan—Mayor Gila Garcia led the inauguration of the municipality’s 40-bed COVID-19 Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility on Tuesday.

The facility is on the municipal grounds and consists of 20 rooms for COVID-19 positive cases and 20 others for suspected cases.

“We are just waiting for the go signal from DOH for us to finally operate. They have already done the check listing and the inspection, anyway the design of the facility came from them, what should be found inside the room, as well as the needed manpower. We have addressed all their concerns,” Garcia said.

The rooms are air-conditioned with a bed, comfort room, table, chair, and blood pressure monitoring set. For the safety of the health workers, it has a separate triage area.

Municipal officials, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Buccahan, representative of DOH Provincial Health Team Leader Dr. Noel Reyes, and Dinalupihan District Hospital Head Dr. Gene Abara attended the blessing and inauguration.

The municipality secured a loan from Land Bank of the Philippines to build the facility.
