Gilas Pilipinas national women’s team member Gabi Bade is taking the Jack Animam route by signing up for a professional team in Europe.

Bade recently inked a one-year deal to suit up for ENAD WBC, a club team that plays in Cyprus’ Division A tournament for women.

The 24-year-old Bade is the daughter of former Shell player Cris Bade.

The young Bade played ball for Division I schools University of Buffalo and Sacramento State.

The Gilas team took in Bade back in 2019 when it played in the women’s division of the Jones Cup.

ENAD, which is based in Ayios Dometios, Nicosia, finished in sixth place last season in the elimination round with a 3-9 slate.

But they still managed to upset third-ranked team Etha in the quarterfinals, before losing to eventual second-placer AEL in the semis.

Last month, the 6’2” Animam, who played for the National University Lady Bulldogs back in college, was the first to  turn  pro in Europe, signing up with Serbian team Radnički Kragujevac.
