Officials of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. and Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) sign a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) for the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino or the 4PH program—a flagship project of DHSUD that aims to address the housing backlog and provide affordable housing for Filipinos nationwide. The MOU seeks to institutionalize the partnership between the government and the business community to encourage the participation of the private sector in building socialized housing units, thereby promoting equitable access to affordable and decent housing, especially for low-income families and underprivileged sectors.
