Alicia, Isabela – Mayor Joel Amos Alejandro backed the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the launch of its “Bata Balik Eskwela” here, coinciding with the start of the 2024–2025 school year.

Alejandro underscored the value of education for the benefit of the local out-of-school youth in particular.

The goal of the recently started “Bata Balik Eskwela” campaign is to remind the 4Ps beneficiaries’ children to re-enroll in order to fully enjoy the program advantages.

One of the primary requirements of the 4Ps is attendance in school for the entire academic year; as such, the Pantawid Pamilya students are the program’s stakeholders and bear responsibility for its compliance. However, the curriculum acknowledges that some kids struggle to continue their studies for a variety of reasons that require attention.

The DSWD hopes to re-establish school for the 4P children through this initiative, particularly those who have stopped attending. The goal of this program is to motivate youth in the out-of-school youth sector to pick up where they left off and pursue further education.
