Raine Santiago Nakpil, a Communications student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and alumna ambassador of the 2016 Cha-Ching program, exemplifies the impact of financial literacy education on young learners.

Her journey highlights the transformative power of Cha-Ching, a globally acclaimed financial education program created by Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential plc.

Launched in the Philippines in 2016 with Junior Achievement Philippines, Cha-Ching features animated, music-based cartoons made with Cartoon Network Asia and Emmy award-winning Children’s Educational Specialist Dr. Alice Wilder, along with a school curriculum to instill positive money values in children.

Raine fondly recalls watching Cha-Ching as a child, saying, “The upbeat songs and characters singing ‘Earn, Save, Spend, and Donate’ have stayed with me, shaping my approach to financial management even eight years later.”

Cha-Ching emphasizes financial literacy, equipping young learners to make informed decisions through engaging, character-based education.

Raine credits Cha-Ching for shaping her financial values. She recalls, “What started as simple lyrics have transformed into values I live by today.”

Prudence Foundation and Junior Achievement Philippines celebrated reaching over one million students with Cha-Ching, training 28,000 teachers by February 2024. This milestone underscores Pru Life UK and Prudence Foundation’s dedication to financial education.

Raine, now a program volunteer, expresses gratitude for the encouragement and support from Pru Life UK.
