Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NFLN) reported on Saturday that they facilitated the Awarding of Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) benefits to six (6) former rebels at the Naval Station Ernesto Ogbinar Quarterdeck Function Hall, Poro Point, San Fernando City, La Union last week.

Commander of NFNL Commodore Edward Ike De Sagon expressed his gratitude to the government agencies, local units, security forces, and civil society organizations supporting the E-CLIP program and highlighted the importance of comprehensive assistance in facilitating successful reintegration.

“The activity is about the thrust of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) driving the comprehensive whole-of-government approach that underpins programs like the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), emphasizing collaborative efforts across different sectors to address insurgency and promote sustainable peace and development,” NFNL Public Affairs Officer Lieutenant Zachary Sinsuan said.

“The event is also a testament to the power of unity and partnership in fostering peace and reconciliation. It exemplifies how different government entities can come together, pool their resources, and leverage their respective strengths to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities affected by conflict,” Sinsuan added.
