House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas City Rep.  Camille Villar lauded Talisaynons for their resilience and spirit of unity for the achievements and development of Talisay City in Negros Occidental.

In her inspirational message at the start of the street dancing and dance drama competition that was the main event of the city’s 25th Minulu-an Festival, Villar said: “It makes me proud because your spirit of unity as a community is very much alive.  Let this remind us of your strength as a people, of your strength as a city.”

“The continuous rise and development of the city of Talisay is due to all of you who are here – the people who are continuously striving to introduce the natural resources and capabilities of your city to the whole country. You are the real key and wealth of Talisay City,” she said.

She added: “This day is a reminder of your unity, your heroism, and your support and cooperation for each other. The beauty and prosperity of Talisay would not be possible if it wasn’t for you who worked together and supported the aspirations of your towns.”

Villar said the city government’s achievement should serve as a reminder to the residents “of the years of collective hard work and perseverance that all of you has put together, leading to the development, prosperity, and progress of your beloved city.”

The female lawmaker joined the Talisaynons after the competition’s opening ceremony, and reveled as participants showcased their dancing prowess.
