Patricia Santor shines at ‘Go Full Speedo’ Swim Series

Patricia Santor of Ilustre East Aquatics Club dominated the girls’ 16-year-old category at the ‘Go Full Speedo’ Swim Series Long Course Swimming Meet Leg 1.

The 16-year-old UST Senior High student clinched gold medals in both the 200m breaststroke and 100m freestyle, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication.

Santor’s impressive performance at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila earned her recognition as one of the brightest young swimmers in the Philippines. Her times of 2:50.68 and 1:02.80, respectively, were among the fastest in the competition, which attracted over 480 swimmers from 38 clubs nationwide.

“I’m in great shape,” Santor said after her victories. “Coach Ramil (Ilustre) gave me extra training, and I was determined to improve on my performance at the National Trials.”

Santor’s success was not limited to her individual achievements. She also contributed to the overall success of the Ilustre East Aquatics Club, which emerged as one of the top-performing teams in the competition.

Other notable winners included Nicola Queen Diamante of RSS Dolphins, who took first place in the girls’ 13-year-old 100m freestyle, and Jie Angela Mikaela Talosig of Midsayap Pirates, who won the girls’ 18-year-old 100m freestyle.

The ‘Go Full Speedo’ Swim Series is a significant event in the Philippine swimming calendar, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
