The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has commended a security guard at the airport for his honesty.
MIAA general manager Eric Jose Ines praised Manuel Marcelo Jr. of N.C. Lanting Security Agency for finding a pouch and surrendering it to the airport management.
Reports showed that Marcelo, who was on duty at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2, found the pouch on an unattended pushcart. He asked people in the area if they knew the owner, but no one claimed it. Marcelo then informed the airport police and reported the lost item, which was checked for narcotics and explosives as a matter of procedure.
